Dr. Frank PiroDr. Frank Piro began his plastic surgery practice on the Peninsula in 1991. He is a native of the Bay Area graduating from the University of Santa Clara in 1979. His journey of practicing medicine began at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He graduated in 1984 and earned membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha National Honor Society.
Dr. Piro returned to the Bay Area completing his General Surgery training at St. Mary’s Hospital in San Francisco. In 1988 he began his advanced training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in San Francisco. His comprehensive training in plastic surgery included extensive experience in cosmetic surgery, reconstructive surgery, surgery of the hand and microsurgical reconstruction.
Dr. Piro is proud to be a certified member of the American Board of Plastic Surgery, a prestigious affiliation which signifies that a plastic surgeon has completed training and demonstrates the skills and knowledge necessary to provide safe and excellent care. He is also a member of the esteemed American Society of Plastic Surgeons, an organization comprised of the leading surgeons in the field of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Piro is a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons, a member of the California Plastic Surgery Society and a member of the California Medical Society.
